April 2016 Newsletter

Dear Newcomer Friends,
April is an exciting month for Lexington. Here is a link to all the wonderful Patriot Day activities around town. http://www.lexingtonma.gov/patriots-day-lexington
We hope you enjoy the events we have planned. Stay tuned for our upcoming
activities later in the spring including the International Party, family picnic and high tea at the Boston Public Library. We have also discussed the idea of planning an “Accessory Exchange” party, where you bring unwanted items to trade with friends. Let us know if this interests you or if you have other suggestions. We would love to hear from you.
We are still looking for people who would like to be on our board to help with
existing committees or start a new one. We are also always looking for new hosts for activities. If you are interested in being a more active part of LNC, please contact either of us.

“Luckiest Girl Alive”
by Jessica Knoll

HER PERFECT LIFE IS A PERFECT LIE. As a teenager at the prestigious Bradley School, Ani FaNelli endured a shocking, public humiliation that left her desperate to
reinvent herself. Now, with a glamorous job, expensive wardrobe, and handsome blue blood fiancé, she’s this close to living the perfect life she’s worked so hard to achieve.
But Ani has a secret. There’s something else buried in her past that still haunts her, something private and painful that threatens to bubble to the surface and destroy everything.
With a singular voice and twists you won’t see coming, Luckiest Girl Alive explores the unbearable pressure that so many women feel to “have it all” and introduces a heroine whose sharp edges and cutthroat ambition have been protecting a scandalous truth, and a heart that’s bigger than it first appears. The question remains: will breaking her silence destroy all that she has worked for—or, will it at long last, set Ani free?

Please RSVP to Lorri: lorrikern or Sue: suemstapleton
