Our first walk of the 2019-2020 season will be on Tuesday, September 3.  It’s a great chance to get some fresh air and exercise and catch up with friends old and new.  Email Claire at to be added to the email group and receive the weekly walk details which are typically sent out the night before.

We’re revisiting an LNN favorite this month and having lunch at Love at First Bite.  It serves delicious, fresh Thai food in a fun, vibrant setting.  And best of all, it’s right in Lex center.  Hope to see you there!

Book Club

Men’s Pub Night

Join us for a welcome coffee to kick-off the 2019-2020 LNN season.  This event is open to both current members and non-members interested in learning about what LNN offers.  Feel free to bring along someone new to Lexington or someone looking to expand their community.

Ladies’ Pub Night

Meet up with your LNN friends in a casual setting for cocktails and some nibbles.  Come at 7:00 and stay all evening or stop by for a quick drink.  Either way, we would love for you to join!

Mystery Dinner Party
Saturday, September 21, 5:30-9:00pm

Ready to start off the 2019-2020 LNN party season with a mysterious twist?  The evening will start with cocktails on a private patio at Kings Bowl in Burlington….then things get interesting.  You will receive an assignment to join (along with your spouse/guest, if you register as a couple) a small group dinner at a nearby restaurant with 6-8 people – both your fellow diners and the restaurant will be a mystery until the night of the party.  Our hope is to create a fun and casual atmosphere to welcome new members and get to know familiar members better.  

5:30-7:00pm – cocktail hour with cash bar at Kings Bowl, 52 Second Ave in Burlington
7:00-9:00pm – dinner at various Burlington restaurants ($20/30 entree price range)

Freedom Trail (+ lunch)
Wednesday, September 25 at 10:00-12:30pm

Join us for a walking tour of Boston’s historic Freedom Trail, guided by Mary (who led the Boston Public Library tour last year).  We’ll walk 2.5 miles and hear rich and fascinating stories about the very important role that Boston played in our country’s history.  If you enjoy this part of the Freedom Trail, then you’ll be excited to hear that we will be walking another portion of the Freedom Trail in spring 2020!  Note that rain date will be October 2.

Meeting point: Sam Adams statue at Faneuil Hall

Community Happenings

Lexington Farmers’ Market
every Tuesday from 2-6:30pm through October

The Lexington Farmers’ Market (“LFM”) is at the corner of Mass Avenue and Fletcher Avenue, the gateway to historic Lexington. This season’s line-up includes fresh fruits and vegetables including organic specialty Asian produce from Kelley Farm, fresh fish, poultry, pork, and beef, local honey, and a variety of specialty foods.
The LFM is a producer-only market, ensuring that what you find is fresh and local, sustainably raised and carefully crafted by the farmers and vendors of the LFM. Each week, there will be approximately twenty-four farmers and vendors on-site, including guest vendors, with a total of 35 farmers/vendors participating in the 2019 season; check the website for who will be attending each week. In addition, the LFM features talented artisans, musicians, and local community groups, along with special seasonal events and festivals.
